I bought my new favorite dress this week - white, eyelet, and collared - and ten minutes before I left to babysit last night, I got the idea to take these pictures to have something to edit later on. I really like how they came out, but I might edit them in the future.

 Getting up here before the self-timer went on... not easy, but worth it. 

 Least favorite. I need to get used to my face. Granted this is no makeup.

 Couldn't take anything but landscape style with the tripod, so awkward cropping :/

americana shoot with hannah!

My friend Hannah (who also doubles as my favorite model) has a USA-themed shed in her backyard, and for obvious reasons I wanted to do a 4th of July shoot with it. We bought Hannah a cute jean dress thrifting/consignment shopping one day, and knew it'd be perfect. She got a lot of good photos of me too, which seems to be happening more and more often. I'm really obsessed with how these came out, my only regret is that we didn't do it earlier in the day, because the shadows on the shed really limited our space.

One of few photos of us together that was able to be saved. Stupid shadows/poor timing :(

Hannah looks like she belongs in a different era in these.. I love it!

It was so hard not to edit these a lot, because the whole point was that the colors were true red, white, and blue. But I had to throw in at least one black & white!

Mistake, but I like it.

Listening to: Shark in the Water - V V Brown


Yesterday was my first day of summer, and I asked my friend Melissa if I could photograph her. Her brother (and my best friend) Chris asked if he could come too, and after driving around for a while looking for somewhere to shoot, we decided on the Asbury boardwalk/beach. Cliché, but the pictures look great! They even took a bunch of me as well.

The majority of Melissa's photos were smiley and happy, mostly because she has a gorgeous smile!

 I never knew how good a model Chris was... will definitely be shooting both of them in the future!

An actual photoshoot was going on when we first showed up, and they had the model on top of these wooden blocks and shot above them so that it was only sky. The minute they left, we went up and copied them! It was some sort of skateboard brand we think.
